It rained once on the ship at sea, drizzled once in Mexico, other than that, weather was nice. The food was out of this world and at any time you might find some space in you to deposit some food there, you could.

Skiing!
9/25/00 - 9/28/00: Key Largo, FL
A short fling to Florida - did some kayaking in mangroves (awesome!), had a facial (mud on the face), went out to the ocean on a boat (very choppy seas - 6ft)
5/25/00 - 5/28/00: Las Vegas, Nevada
Ta - ta - tada, ta - ta - tada... my brother's wedding. Glitz of Vegas and the desert. Lost a lot of money. :-)
2/5/00 - 2/12/00: Snowmass, Colorado
Although I was fighting with sore throat while we were there, I went skiing every day. The mountain was irresistible, covered with snow like a bath i scovered with bubbles. For the first time in my life, I've got to ski in really thick virgin powder. We stayed at ski-in, ski-out place on the Snowmass mountain.
12/29/99 - 1/7/00: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
We got to do many activities I have never done before. We took a boat out to the ocean and went snorkeling to see submerged statue of Jesus Christ. The water was warm, I could not believe it was December! On our last day, we took a trip to Everglades to see tamed as well as wild aligators.
11/26/99 - 11/28/99: Lake Placid, NY
We decided to go skiing finally. The place: Lake Placid in upstate NY. We were supposed to be skiing on the Whiteface Mountain, but the weather was not cooperating. There was no snow, but we still had a great time.
8/25/99 - 9/14/99: Australia & New Zealand
Beautiful trip, full of new experiences and natural beauty. We traveled around a lot, so there will be thorough description coming soon! As a little teaser, there is a picture of me, Albert and a bunch of other people from rafting on Tully river in Queensland, Australia (class 4 rapids).
5/15/99 - 6/7/99: Slovakia, Bratislava & Vysny Kubin
Slovakia is changing. I wish I could see more changes towards higher quality of life... Oh well. It was a very good trip for me, because I finished there my studies at FM UK, and became "Magistra" in the field of Management.
8/5/98 - 8/9/98: South Florida
There was 9 of us to go to Florida this summer. They were my parents, brother Maros with girlfriend Inga, our friends George & Mirka, friend Walter and Albert with me. Everybody was very happy and looking forward to learn how to dive. Weather was beautiful (only several storms and tornado warnings). We didn't come up with any web site from this trip, but we have tons of pictures.
5/9/98 - 5/17/98: Florida - Jason & Ilene's wedding
Albert's best friend from high school was getting married. It was very nicely planned wedding. It was right in the middle of Disney, in beautiful wedding complex. Mickey and Minnie were there as well! The bride and groom had set up a web page with a lot of pictures (Note: April 2005: site not working anymore).
5/1/98: Coming to America II.
Here I am again! My second arrival to US was unpatiently expected. When US Immigration department finally approved my papers (on friday 4/24/98) everything else was arranged within next week. I arrived the next friday (5/1/98). There was Jimmy's strech limo waiting for me and of course Albert, Maros a Ingus. We went straight to the Punta Dura restaurant, which is very good italian restaurant almost right nextdoors to our Astoria apartment. We spent very nice evening. I was celebrating also the night after and then I was sick for three weeks...
1/24/98 - 2/8/98: England
Being in England was one of the nicest expeiences in my life. We met with Albert in London, where we spent a week enjoying nightlife and historical monuments of London. During weekend we were in Albert's birthplace - Island of Jersey. I fell in love with Jersey. I would really like to live there one day. We spent the next week with Albert's aunt Teresa and her husband Neil in St. Helens near Liverpool. We went to look at Liverpool, Chester and Southport.
11/??/97 - 11/??/98: Kosice
We had very nice time in Kosice, except for the hotel. I wanted to show Albert how normal hotel in Slovakia looks like. We stayed at hotel Kohal and I think Albert will not forget this hotel very soon. He was shocked by the fact that we had to share bathroom and toilet with people nextdoors (who we didn't know at all).
10/??/97 - 11/??/97: High Tatras
Can you imagine little Skoda Felicia struggeling in a heavy snow storm going to Tatranska Lesna? We saw ourselves stucked in the middle of the road slowly freezing... We didn't think we'll make it all the way to the place we were stayng in. But we did :-D. The second day we went to the "Coldwater Waterfalls". The weather was beautiful, view was amazing, we were very happy. However, we were less happy when we found out that we left our car lights on in the morning and our battery is dead. We found nice downhill road where we hoped it will "jump on", but when we went down that road we found out that it has dead end and if we want to go anywhere we have to climb up this icy steep road we just came down.
Vysny Kubin
We rented a car (Skoda Felicia) for our trip around Slovakia. We were quite happy with it. Why am I mentioning it? It was funny going uphill and trying to "cheer up" the car: C'mon Skoda, you can do it! You can do it!
We stayed with my aunt and uncle in Vysny Kubin. I always admire the beauty of Orava. We were driving around those little villages and Albert experienced something for the first time in his life (actually, me as well). We were stopped on the road by the cow who was staring into our front window. It looked quite hungry.
10/2/97: Coming to Slovakia
It was a shock to see our refrigerator even after being in US only for 3 months. I realized a lot of differences that I wass not aware of before. I realized that Slovakia is not a very big country and that it really is a unique piece of land in the middle of all those other states, nationalities etc.
9/??/97 - 9/??/97: Philadelphia
When I arrived to Phily (after being in train for 9 hours) there was a lot of smoke on the tracks. It ooked really scary - like the station is on the fire. I don't know what was it until now. When I walked up the stairs I saw this big bouquet of red roses and somebody smiling from behind them (Albert).
9/??/97 - 9/??/97: Pittsburgh
I stayed with very nice people in Pittsburgh. Ben and Patricia Tuchi. They are both university teachers. They arranged for me very nice trip around Pittsburgh with Palo Komornik and one boy who has slovak roots and lives now in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is nowadays much nicer than it used to be. I could not believe my eyes when I saw pictures of Pittsburgh from 40 - 50 years ago. All the buildings were black and you couldn't see daylight at noon because of pollution. Nowadays almost all (maybe completely all) steel companies are shut down and town has to seek other opportunities how to attract people to come to live there.
9/??/97 - 9/??/97: Missouri
After two days in train it was very nice to stand on non-moving soil of Missouri. I stayed there with my good friends Chrissie and Bennett. Again it was completely different experience. After Los Angeles and New York I explored small town in the middle of United States.
