Martina's & Albert's trip to southeast Asia 2004

Itinerary Fri, Jan 16      Take off from New York at 7am - Los Angeles - Tokyo - Singapore. First, recommended by the Four Seasons, was Mimpi resort. (-> about the resort) We did not feel it was worth the money, villa did not seem clean, greenery seemed to be overgrown, roaches running around dive center didn't help. So we switched to Tauch Terminal resort (-> resort website) - which was cheaper and much nicer. We fealt especially welcome thanks to fabulous general manager Ziggy, who helped with anythig we needed. We have also left most of our luggage in the resort, since it's cumbersome to transport big luggage to Phi Phi. -> PHOTOS from J. W.
